NewTree Community Guidelines
These Community Guidelines help maintain a safe, respectful, and trustworthy environment for users, hosts, organizers, businesses, and communities using NewTree.
By using NewTree, users agree to follow these Guidelines in addition to the Terms of Service.
1. Respect Other People
Users should treat others respectfully both online and offline. The following behavior is prohibited:
- Harassment
- Threats
- Stalking
- Bullying
- Intimidation
- Hate speech
- Discrimination
- Doxxing
- Unwanted sexual behavior
- Exploitation or predatory conduct
Users should never pressure others into unsafe, uncomfortable, illegal, or unwanted situations.
2. No Fraud, Scams, or Fake Events
Users may not:
- Create fake events
- Mislead attendees
- Impersonate businesses or organizers
- Run scams or fraudulent schemes
- Falsely advertise partnerships or opportunities
- Sell fake tickets
- Manipulate reviews or engagement
Hosts are expected to provide accurate event information.
3. Illegal or Dangerous Activity
The following are prohibited:
- Illegal drug activity
- Weapons trafficking
- Human trafficking
- Prostitution or escort services
- Violent extremism
- Criminal activity
- Dangerous stunts likely to cause serious harm
- Fraudulent investment or pyramid schemes
- Events promoting unlawful behavior
NewTree may remove or report illegal or dangerous activity.
4. Safety and Real-World Meetups
Meeting strangers online involves inherent risks. Users should:
- Exercise independent judgment
- Meet in safe public locations when possible
- Trust instincts and personal boundaries
- Avoid sharing unnecessary personal information
- Contact emergency services directly during emergencies
NewTree is not a law enforcement agency or emergency service provider.
5. Content Standards
Users may not upload or share:
- Illegal content
- Sexually exploitative material
- Violent or graphic content intended to shock
- Hate content
- Fraudulent or deceptive content
- Copyright-infringing content
- Spam or manipulative engagement tactics
- Malware or harmful code
Users may not upload copyrighted music, images, videos, logos, graphics, or other intellectual property unless they own the rights or have obtained appropriate permission or licensing.
NewTree may remove content that violates these Guidelines.
6. Reviews and Feedback
Reviews should reflect honest personal experiences. Users may not:
- Post fake reviews
- Coordinate review manipulation
- Harass businesses through reviews
- Use reviews to threaten or extort others
Disagreements should remain respectful.
7. Hosts and Organizers
Hosts are expected to:
- Provide accurate event details
- Maintain lawful events
- Respect attendee safety
- Avoid deceptive practices
- Follow applicable laws and venue requirements
Host approval or platform badges do not guarantee legitimacy, safety, or trustworthiness.
8. Reporting and Enforcement
Users may report:
- Unsafe behavior
- Harassment
- Fraud
- Fake events
- Illegal activity
- Policy violations
NewTree may:
- Remove content
- Restrict visibility
- Suspend accounts
- Permanently ban users
- Escalate safety matters
- Cooperate with law enforcement where appropriate
Repeated or severe violations may result in permanent removal from the Platform.
9. Ban Evasion and Multiple Accounts
Users may not attempt to evade suspensions, bans, moderation actions, or restrictions through alternate accounts or deceptive behavior.
10. No Guarantee of Safety
NewTree cannot guarantee the conduct, identity, intentions, legitimacy, or safety of users, hosts, attendees, organizers, businesses, or third parties.
Users participate in events and interactions at their own risk.
11. Changes to These Guidelines
NewTree may update these Community Guidelines from time to time.
Continued use of the Platform after updates become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Guidelines.
